Mother’s Day

All in lockdown and no shops to browse, I was stranded with no Mother’s Day gifts for the grannies.

It was time to turn to my collection of Pinterest boards and see what art supplies I could match with my long desired pins. It’s a good thing I have a well stocked arts and craft cupboard- some say it’s the whole house.

I wanted something that would be a useful keepsake not just another dust collector, but what? And then I spotted it sitting in the corner – a box of plain seed cloth shopping bags – they were suppose to be for our new range of printed bags but they too were in lockdown.

With plain bags and a bit of paint I thought I will get Olive to do hand and foot artworks on the shopping bags… All I can say is school teachers are rockstars they way they make it look so easy but in reality mom had to call dad to assist. With more newspaper than floor and a bucket and towel for washing hands and feet in between we still got paint where we shouldn’t of got paint 🤦‍♂️.

At the end of the day it was great fun and a Mother’s Day we will remember, best part was the 3 granny’s loved their shopping bags.

It’s not Batman it’s Doctor Bear

Four weeks into lockdown and Olivia doesn’t understand why every night at bedtime the neighbourhood comes alive with lots of noise. Vuvuzelas, tin cans and some unknown instruments… hahaha.

I tried explaining to her we are thanking the superhero’s that are making the world better. Puzzled she replied Batman?? I could only chuckle and said Batman’s doctor friends 🙂

I found an awesome crochet doctor bear pattern to make for her to play with.

We hope to have a variety of colors available when the shops opens.
